Step by Step Installation of Clearos 7.2.0 with Screenshots
How to install ClearOS 7.2.0 (Community Edition which is based on Red Hat Linux/CentOS Linux. ClearOS (Community Edition) is a open source and it’s free. ClearOS special features are Firewall , IDS and IPS, VPN , Content filtering etc.
In this tutorial i will demonstrate Step by Step installation of ClearOS 7.2.0(Community Edition).
- Download ClearOS 7.2.0 Community Edition form this link (https://www.clearos.com/products/purchase/clearos-downloads)
- A Intel Based PC with 2 or more NIC cards.
Installation Of ClearOS 7.2.0 With Screenshots
Boot the Computer with ClearOS 7.2.0 Installation CD/DVD or ISO.
Select Install ClearOS 7.2.0
Wait for loading essential files.
Select your installation language. Here i have selected English(United States) and click continue.
Main dashboard of configuring ClearOS, we configure one by one each component.
First we configure Date & Time
Click Date & Time
Select your Time Zone I have selected America Chicago. Change your Date and Time, click on Done button. after click done you go to main dash board again.
Change or Add Keyboard layout, click keyboard icon.
Click on + button, a window is open
Select your keyboard layout and click Add button. Click Done button, after click done you go to main dash board.
If you want to add more language then click Language Support icon. I have leave it to by default.
Configure Installation Source, click on CD-Rom icon
Clearos Auto Detect Installation Soure by default, if you want installation from network then click on On the network and select your protocol(default http://), type network address. Click Done button, after click done you go to main dash board.
Configure installation destination, click on Installation Destination Icon.
Click on I will configure partition for manual configuration of hard disk and click done.
Select Standard Partition on partition scheme by default LVM selected.
click on + button you get a partition windows.
select your Mount Point and define your size. click on Add mount point
Configuring /boot partition
Configuring Swap partition.
Configuring /root partition.
Leaving Desired Capacity blank , when you leave blank all available hard size will selected.
Click on Done button, A new window is open.
Click on Accept Changes.
In Main Dashboard , click on Network and Host Name.
Slide button to ON network interface in Right top corner. Click Configure
Click IPv4 Settings ,click add button and type IP address,Netmask, Gateway
Add DNS servers IP Address and click on Save button.
Type Host Name (Ex abc.domain.com) and click Done button. After click done you go to main dash board.
Here you can see that all option configure properly, Click Begin Installation
Here you can see that Root Password is not configure, Lets configure it
Type your Root Password and click Done button.
Wait for install completion
After Installation completion click Reboot button.
Wait for Loading of ClearOS
After successfully loading of ClearOS you get a Network Console.
Here you get Web Access url(https://10.10.10.10:81).
Type https://10.10.10.10:81 in remote system, you get certificate error click Add Exception and click Confirm Security Exception.
